Andy Pham, a sophomore chemical engineering student at Mississippi State University, is already gaining real-world experience through a co-op with Chevron in Pascagoula. His early entry into the field reflects both his ambition and commitment to his future career.
Andy credit the Promise Programs as a key source of support in his journey. Through the program he has strengthen his time management and study skills, built confidence and explored opportunities that have shaped his path.
After graduation, Andy hopes t pursue a career focused on research and environmental sustainability, while also making time to travel and experience the world.
While he takes his academics seriously, Andy emphasizes the importance of balance. He shares, “Sometimes you need to take a step back and give yourself some grace. Make the most of both of your good and bad experiences, and build relationships along the way — you never know who might help you in the future.”
